/ The challenge /
Bad data in. Guesswork out.
When the information your team needs is wrong or incomplete, work stalls. Decisions vary by who’s on shift. Problems get passed along instead of solved.
-
01
Issues surface too late
Missing or conflicting data is caught downstream, after it has already caused rework.
-
02
Decisions depend on who’s asking
SOPs are scattered and tribal knowledge fills the gaps, so outcomes vary.
-
03
Work stalls in handoffs
Finding the right contact or next step means emails, calls, and waiting.
/ How it works /
Extract, unify, access, and measure.
- 01
Extract
Intelligently extract, validate, and enrich the document data that downstream ops teams all rely on for their testing, client services, and billing workflows.
- 02
Unify
Unify SOPs, reports, emails, and connected systems into a centralized source of truth, allowing users to query it through a private enterprise LLM.
- 03
Access
Get one-click access to error code explanations, contact lists, and internal notes to resolve surfaced issues.
- 04
Measure
Track time spent on data edits, client support, and issue resolution to uncover inefficiencies and optimize operations.
As we continue to grow, investing in intelligent intake helps ensure our operations can scale alongside our science.
/ Capabilities /
Innovative science needs innovative LabOps.
Eliminate time spent figuring out what to do next and keep laboratory operations moving with AI.
-
Cross-system visibility
Unify operational data from disconnected systems for a more complete picture of LabOps.
-
Centralized knowledge
Make SOPs, reports, and institutional knowledge accessible from one searchable source.
-
Natural language querying
Ask questions about your operations in plain language and get answers grounded in your data.
-
AI-powered guidance
Surface relevant information and recommended next steps to support consistent decisions.
-
Operational analytics
Track processing times, recurring issues, and resolution trends to uncover inefficiencies.
-
Process standardization
Apply consistent operational procedures and decision logic across teams, shifts, and locations.

Still have questions?
Talk to our team 01 What happens when DocKnow can’t find an answer in our SOPs or other internal resources?
Answers
If an answer isn’t available in your existing resources, DocKnow won’t invent one. Its role is to help your team find, understand, and act on the information available, while leaving decisions that require human judgment to the people qualified to make them.
02 How much work is involved in building and maintaining DocKnow’s knowledge base?
Knowledge
The effort involved depends on the size and complexity of your knowledge base, as well as how frequently its contents change. Our team takes a hands-on approach to implementation, handling the technical infrastructure, configuration, and deployment so your laboratory doesn’t have to build and maintain those systems itself.
However, your team is ultimately responsible for curating the knowledge base, including keeping SOPs, policies, and other resources accurate and up to date. DocKnow makes that information more accessible and actionable, but the quality of its guidance depends on the quality of the information it has access to.
03 What types of documents can DocKnow process?
Documents
DocKnow processes test requisition forms (TRFs), medical records, lab reports, insurance cards, and other clinical documents. They can be typed or handwritten, single pages or multi-page packets, and arrive by upload, fax, email, SFTP, or API.
04 What makes DocKnow “lab-native”?
Lab-native
Unlike general-purpose document processing platforms, DocKnow is purpose-built for the complexity of laboratory operations.
At its core is Synapse, our domain-specific intelligence layer, developed through experience processing more than one million completed forms across 500+ variations. Synapse augments AI-generated results with laboratory-specific knowledge and programmatic logic to help ensure extracted information is ready for downstream workflows.
That specialization extends to built-in capabilities, including integrations with ICD and CPT code sets for interpreting and validating laboratory-related information.
05 Where is DocKnow deployed?
Deployment
Inside your infrastructure, either in your cloud VPC or on-premises. Documents and patient data never leave your environment, so you stay in control of security and access.
For labs that want or need it, Onymos also offers secure hosting.
06 How does DocKnow connect to our other systems?
Integrations
Through APIs, HL7 / FHIR interfaces, and SFTP. Validated, structured data is written back to your LIS, EHR, and billing systems automatically.
07 How does pricing for DocKnow work?
Pricing
DocKnow pricing is tailored to your processing volume, workflow complexity, and deployment requirements. We work with your team to understand your needs and develop a pricing structure that accounts for both the software and the infrastructure costs associated with running DocKnow in your environment.
As your document volumes grow, we can also structure pricing to make scaling more economical.
08 How long does implementation take?
Onboarding
Most teams start with a single test line and expand from there. Timelines depend on the number of document types and integrations, and our team scopes them with you up front. A typical timeline is 3-4 weeks.
